Acting tough on the British data analytics firm and Facebook unclear response to the previous notice sent by the government, the Centre again sent notices to both of them framing additional questions on potential data leak.
Government asked the social networking site to form a security framework, in a bid to avoid leakage of data or manipulating the populace for the purpose of elections concerning Indians.
It also asked Facebook to define steps to restrict the unauthorised use of data or its manipulation by May 10.
From the past few weeks, the United States-based social networking site received a lot of flak from users and governments globally over data leak fiasco.
