FB Messenger payments to debut in India soon

FB Messenger...Social networking giant Facebook has unveiled a money transfer service on its Messenger app in the U.S. that would allow its users to send and request money using the app.

It would also allow the users to make and receive payments in a much more transactional way than communicating via plain and boring emails.

According to reports by CNET, the service is only available in the U.S. and would be rolled out in India soon. In order to send or receive money, all you need is to add your debit card in your profile on the Messenger app, and you’re ready to go. Reports say Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, wanted to become a part of the mobile payment industry. He wanted to make the business interactions a bit more transactional when it comes to payments.

Facebook will not levy any charges for availing the Messenger payment service you won’t incur any charges like commission and transaction fees. Notably, all other Facebook products are totally free. The payments are secured by PIN and “industry-leading security”.

This is one of the easiest ways to transfer money and that too using an app that you already have in your smartphone. All you need is a debit card and you can send money to anyone in the world.
