Uber ties up with Paytm for payment solution for Indian customers

UberThe app-based taxi service provider— Uber has tied up with Paytm to enable its customers in India to make payments for their riders through Paytm payment wallet. Notably, in a similar move Uber had partnered with Alipay to provide same service to its Chinese customers.

Endorsing the news Uber spokesperson said the company will be integrating the same by May end and will be closely tied to Paytm’s payments bank operations. Moreover, Uber is yet to release an official statement on the development.

Paytm has informed that it will not charge any hidden fees for conversion and will convert based on current Forex cards.

“The company is working on the API integration and the technical solution would be sorted out soon,” a news report quoted Paytm’s CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
