The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has nominated the Economic Affairs Secretary Atanu Chakraborty on its central board.
RBI in its press release has stated that “The central government has nominated Atanu Chakraborty, secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, New Delhi as a director on the Central Board of Directors of Reserve Bank of India vice Shri Subhash Chandra Garg.”
Chakraborty is a 1985-batch Gujarat-cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.
RBI has said that “The nomination of Atanu Chakraborty is effective from July 29 and until further orders.”
