Rohit Thakur, former Head of Human Resources at Accenture India has been appointed as the new CHRO at Paytm.
Rohit put down his papers at Accenture India earlier this month. As the Group CHRO at digital payments giant Paytm, Rohit will lead all the HR aspects as the brand chases its growth and expansion plan.
At Accenture, Rohit has been succeeded by Lakshmi C, the India HR service delivery Head responsible for handling recruitment, learning, HR Tech and process team.
Rohit has over 26 years of dense experience in HR domain across industries and in top brands namely Microsoft, GE, Eicher, Cadence Design Systems, etc. Prior to joining Accenture, he was associated with Microsoft India as the Head of Human Resources. His experience is an amalgamation of industries/sectors like Technology, Consumer, and Energy. It is this vast experience that the payments player will be hoping to leverage.
Recently, Paytm made several significant changes and appointments across the management team. In October this year Paytm named Kinjal Chaudhary as the SVP-HR and head of operations for the new Paytm services business. Besides, Madhur Deora who was the Chief Financial Officer for Paytm was promoted to head all the company’s consumer services businesses in a newly created role of President.
