With the help of this app, the visually challenged people will be able to identify the denomination of a currency note, the RBI said. The application also functions offline post installation , the central bank added.

Users will be able to freely download the app, called ‘MANI’ (Mobile Aided Note Identifier), from Android Playstore or iOS App Store. The application has the power to scan the currency notes with the help of the camera fitted in mobile phone. It also provides audio output in Hindi and English.
