YES BANK today announced Archana Shiroor as the bank’s designate Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). She will succeed Anurag Adlakha, who will retire in June 2023.

Shiroor has almost three decades of experience in the human resources (HR) field. Her extensive expertise in the banking and financial services industries, as well as her ability to drive comprehensive HR strategy, large-scale transformation, and foster cultural aspirations, make her an invaluable member of the bank’s leadership team.

Shiroor will oversee the Human Resources division at YES BANK and will be key in shaping the bank’s people strategy in her new job. She will cooperate with the senior leadership team to attract, develop, and retain outstanding personnel, as well as to establish a high-performance culture, according to a statement from the bank.

Shiroor formerly worked at HDFC Bank as the head of HR for retail branch banking, government, and institutional banking, where she oversaw a workforce of over 55,000 individuals and was also in charge of managing talent acquisition, regional HR teams, and employee relations.

Prior to joining HDFC Bank, she held top HR positions in a number of well-known banking and financial services firms, including Barclays, the Tata Group, and Development Credit Bank (DCB).

“With Archana’s experience and expertise in human resources management, I am confident that she will play an instrumental role in driving our people strategy and continue to build on our company culture. We are excited about the future of the bank under her able guidance and look forward to working together to achieve the bank’s goals,” said Prashant Kumar, MD & CEO, YES BANK.
