Mumbai: IT services company Persistent Systems is set to acquire German digital engineering firm Nagarro in a landmark transaction that will significantly expand its global capabilities and strengthen its position in the digital engineering and technology services market.
The proposed acquisition is expected to create a combined entity with annual revenues of approximately $2.9 billion, making it one of the largest strategic moves in Persistent Systems’ history.
The deal is aimed at enhancing Persistent’s global footprint, particularly across Europe and other key international markets, while expanding its expertise in digital engineering, cloud transformation, AI, enterprise modernization, and software product engineering.
Nagarro has established itself as a prominent player in digital engineering, serving clients across industries including manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, retail, financial services, and telecommunications. Its strong presence in Europe is expected to complement Persistent Systems’ growing global delivery network and customer base.
Industry analysts believe the acquisition will enable Persistent to scale its operations, diversify its client portfolio, and compete more effectively with larger global IT services firms as enterprises accelerate investments in digital transformation and AI-driven technologies.
