Bengaluru, September 30, 2026: CUPI, a digital business expense management platform, is targeting thousands of businesses over the next 12–24 months as companies increasingly shift from traditional employee reimbursements towards real-time, digital expense management.
Built around UPI-led business payments, automation and real-time visibility, CUPI enables employees to make business-related payments without using their personal funds, while giving companies greater control over spending. The platform has onboarded businesses including XYXX, Hatsun Agro Products, Microlabs and MRF, among others.
Traditional business expense processes often require employees to pay upfront, retain bills and submit reimbursement claims, followed by manual processing by finance teams. CUPI aims to address these challenges by bringing business payments and expense management onto a digital platform, allowing companies to enable direct payments for work-related expenses while maintaining spending visibility and control.
“Businesses have become accustomed to instant digital payments in their personal lives, but workplace expenses are still often managed through an older reimbursement-led process,” said Nithin Prakash, Co-founder & CEO, CUPI. He said the company’s focus is to make business expenses as simple to manage as everyday UPI transactions while providing finance teams with greater visibility and control.
CUPI combines UPI-based payments, expense tracking, approvals, categorisation and reporting. According to the company, its platform has helped customers reduce the time spent managing expenses by up to 90%, while also reducing manual tracking and processing efforts.
The platform is aimed at businesses with frequent operational spending, including startups, SMEs, sales-led organisations, logistics, retail and service businesses.

Prakash said CUPI aims to help Indian businesses manage everyday spending with greater speed, visibility and control while reducing employees’ dependence on personal funds for work-related expenses.
