American Express Banking Corp names Sanjay Khanna as new CEO, India

Sanjay Khanna has been appointed as the CEO and Country Manager for India by American Express Banking Corp (AEBC), the company stated on Monday.

In a statement, American Express stated that Khanna serves as the leader of the country executive team and is in charge of fostering development across all of the company’s consumer and commercial divisions.

According to a statement about his new position, he will also direct a number of strategic and business development projects for the company while fostering effective communication among its many companies in India.

“I am pleased to welcome Sanjay to this new role. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Sanjay has exceptional credentials of delivering strong results coupled with a natural knack for leading from the front. We are confident that his commitment to excel in everything he does, his strong values, and work ethics will further the brand’s leadership in the Indian market,” said Rob McClean, executive vice president, international card services, American Express.

Khanna has held a variety of executive positions in the past for the corporation, including chairman of the legal entity board for American Express India Pvt Ltd (AEIPL), head of worldwide financial operations, and India centre lead for finance.

Khanna joined American Express in 1996 as the manager of finance and has since worked there for roughly 27 years. He formerly held a variety of executive positions at the corporation, including chairman of the American Express India Pvt Limited Legal Entity Board, lead for finance at the India Center, and head of global financial operations.
