AU Small Finance Bank Elevates Yogesh Jain as Deputy CEO Amid Universal Bank Transition

Yogesh Jain

Mumbai: AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB) has elevated Yogesh Jain to the position of Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO), effective July 25, 2026, following approval from the bank’s Board of Directors. The appointment comes at a significant juncture as AU SFB advances its proposed transition into a Universal Bank after receiving in-principle approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

The leadership elevation underscores the bank’s focus on strengthening its executive team as it continues to expand its operations, accelerate technology-driven transformation, and pursue its long-term growth strategy.

A Chartered Accountant with more than two decades of experience in the financial services sector, Jain has been associated with AU for over 16 years. He has played a key role in the institution’s evolution from a leading non-banking financial company (NBFC) into India’s largest Small Finance Bank.

Throughout his tenure, Jain has led several strategic functions across the organization, including capital mobilisation, treasury, financial institutions, strategic planning, operations, technology, digital banking, credit cards, customer experience, and unsecured lending. His leadership has been instrumental in driving the bank’s operational efficiency and digital transformation initiatives.

The appointment comes as AU SFB prepares for its next phase of growth following the RBI’s in-principle approval for its proposed transition to a Universal Bank, the first such approval granted to a financial institution in more than a decade.
