Asit Rath has been appointed as the new CEO and managing director of Aviva India, the company announced today. Asit will take over Amit Malik’s position on July 11 and leave the company after ten years.
The CEO of Prudential Myanmar Life Insurance now is Asit. He has worked in the banking and insurance industries for 22 years in India and Myanmar. He also has a good background in distribution from his time with ICICI Bank and ICICI Prudential Life in India.
Randy Lianggara, Regional CEO for Asia, commented on the shift by saying, “I am thrilled to welcome Asit to Aviva. He will be a good choice to guide Aviva India through the following stage of our transformation journey because of his demonstrated success in transforming and inventing businesses.
