Aviva Life Insurance has announced the appointment of Gyanendra Singh as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this capacity, Singh will have a crucial role in shaping Aviva’s digital transformation, product development, innovation, research and development, information security, and other innovation initiatives.
In his new position, Gyan will lead the charge to ensure that the company remains a leader in the ever-evolving digital landscape. His leadership will be essential in harnessing the potential of emerging technologies, streamlining operational processes, and further enhancing Aviva’s digital products and services. Gyan will report directly to Asit Rath, the CEO & MD, and will assume responsibility for Product & Technology, which was previously overseen by Kunal Anand, the Chief Operations and Customer Services Officer.

With a career spanning more than two decades in the technology development sector of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI), Gyan brings a wealth of experience. His expertise encompasses various areas such as application development, data engineering, business intelligence, platform engineering, information security, a range of Artificial Intelligence disciplines, and vendor management.

Before joining Aviva India, Gyan served as the Chief Technology Officer at Toffee Insurance, where he successfully expanded and established digital insurance distribution and auto loan aggregation capabilities. Prior to this role, he held the position of Director of Technology Development at BlackRock in India and Singapore, and he also served as the Product Delivery Head at Polaris Financial Technology.
