Kolkata based private sector lender Bandhan Bank will be reappointing Chandra Shekhar Ghosh as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD) for a period of three years, after receiving the final nod from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
The bank confirmed the news about the reappointment during its regulatory filing.
“RBI vide letter dated July 4, 2018, has accorded its approval for re-appointment of Chandra Shekhar Ghosh as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the bank for a period of three years,” said the bank in a regulatory filing.
The appointment comes into effect from July 10, 2018 till July 9, 2021, said the bank.
Bandhan Bank started its banking operations on August 23, 2015.It is the first bank that had been set up in the eastern part of the country since independence.
Ghosh is the founder of the bank and holds 37 years of experience in the micro-finance industry.
