If you are planning to complete your bank related formalities today, you will have to shuffle your schedule a bit as State-lenders might remain closed today.
As per some media reports, banks in several states remain closed on account of Buddha Purnima and Maharashtra Day and they might extend this to a four-day long weekend.
Thus, Public Sector banks in some states will remain closed till Tuesday. For details, customers will have to check with their banks regarding their operational status during these days. (Till May 1, 2018).
According to the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) website bank branches across Agartala, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Guwahati, Imphal, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji, Patna and Thiruvananthapuram will remain closed.
