Bank of Baroda has appointed Rakesh Nema as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective August 5, reinforcing the public sector lender’s focus on accelerating digital transformation and technology-led banking services.
Nema brings extensive experience in information technology, digital banking, enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and large-scale technology transformation. As CTO, he will lead the bank’s technology strategy, oversee digital innovation initiatives, strengthen cybersecurity infrastructure, and drive the adoption of advanced technologies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
The appointment comes as Bank of Baroda continues to expand its digital banking ecosystem through investments in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, automation, data analytics, and secure digital platforms. The bank has been actively modernising its technology infrastructure to meet evolving customer expectations and support India’s growing digital financial ecosystem.
