All the banks around the country will remain closed for 2-3 days this week. As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar, banks were closed on Monday on account of Bakri Id or Id-ul-Zuha.
On Thursday, banks will be shut on account of Independence Day and Rakshabandhan festival.
However, in most of the cities, banks will remain open on Saturday as it is the third Saturday of the month. Banks as per the rules remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
In Maharashtra’s Mumbai and Nagpur, banks will, however, be shut this Saturday due to Parsi New Year under the Negotiable Instruments Act. In other cities like Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, etc, banks will remain open on Saturday.
Later on, in the second half of this month banks will again be closed either on 23rd or 24th on account of Krishna Janmashtmi.
