A day after announcing several Managing Directors and Chief Executive Officers across Public Sector Banks, the centre on Thursday appointed 14 General Managers as Executive Directors in different public lenders.
Government elevated Shanti Lal Jain and Vikramaditya Singh Khichi as Executive Directors in the Bank of Baroda initially for a period of three years.
They tenure at the banks are subject to extension on the basis of the performance review, the order issued by the Personnel Ministry said.
While Jain was earlier appointed as the General Manager of the Allahabad Bank and Khichi was the General Manager in the Dena Bank.
The centre elevated Agyey Kumar Azad as executive director in the Punjab National Bank. He was the general manager of the Bank of India.
Further, Gopal Singh Gusain and Manas Ranjan Biswal are now the Executive Directors in the Union Bank of India initially for a period of three years. Both were earlier associated with Punjab National Bank as General Managers.
Vijay Dube who was earlier the General Manager of the Vijaya Bank, is now the Executive Director in the Oriental Bank of Commerce. Alok Srivastava has been moved from Punjab National Bank to the Central Bank of India as Executive Director.
Hemant Kumar Tamta and Sanjay Kumar are now the Executive Directors of the Bank of Maharashtra and the United Bank of India, respectively. Tamta was the General Manager of the Canara Bank and Kumar was with United Bank of India.
P R Rajgopal is the new Executive Director in the Allahabad Bank for three years. He was with Union Bank of India.
