In the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed its employees to work from home.
RBI has now directed all its employees specifically those working in its central office or headquarters in Mumbai, Maharashtra to pot from work from home model.
Maharashtra has been the worst-hit state in terms of positive cases as the overall number rises to 172.
Out of the three people who lost their lives after testing positive, one was a Mumbai resident.
The central bank’s measures are in alignment with an administrative order passed by the Mumbai state government in order to curb the spread of the virus.
Besides, the RBI has assured that all urgent meetings regarding matters of financial stability will be carried as usual and will be done through video conferencing.
