CredAble initiates a Corporate Social Responsibility and sustainability initiative

CredAble, India’s largest working capital tech platform, is excited to announce the launch of a new initiative, I.M.P.A.C.T. – Important to Act, a brand CSR & Sustainability enterprise. The initiative is in line with the company’s vision of creating an ecosystem and providing numerous opportunities for CredAble employees to collaborate on identifying and acting on social causes, as well as participating in various sustainability initiatives.

Recognising this ideology, CredAble has partnered with RAHI – Rise Against Hunger India to launch the first leg of the programme aimed at eradicating hunger in India. The company has volunteered to pack 20,000 meals in Mumbai and Noida as part of the association, with the help of 150+ volunteers.

RAHI envisions a world without hunger and aims to end hunger by 2030, in accordance with UN Sustainable Goal 2. This is achieved through a hands-on meal packaging programme in which volunteers package dehydrated, high-protein, nutritious meals. CredAble has enabled liquidity for several small, midsized, and large corporates across India Inc. over the last 5 years and will continue to revolutionise the world of working capital financing. Its culture statement defines the organisation’s beliefs and is focused on what they value most in terms of people’s behaviours. These cultural statements reinforce the company’s larger goals and feed into their employees’ daily work lives.

Addressing the initiative and the much-valued association with CredAble, Dola Mohapatra, Executive Director, Rise Against Hunger India said, “Rise Against Hunger India is a non-governmental organisation that works with a vision of a world without hunger. The mission of the organisation is to nourish lives, empower communities, respond to emergencies and grow the movement towards ending hunger. Since operations were started in 2015, more than 23 million meals have been served to the hungry in 19 states of India. Rise Against Hunger India carries out a volunteer engagement program where volunteers come together to package highly nutritious dehydrated meals comprising of rice, dal (lentils) & vegetables, fortified with micronutrients & minerals. Rise Against Hunger India is thankful to CredAble team for hosting two such events in Noida & Mumbai on November 17th, 2022 where 20,304 meals will be packaged by employees of CredAble. “

With the help of over 46,000 volunteers, Rise Against Hunger India has served over 2 crore meals in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida, Patna, Aurangabad, Ahmedabad, and many other cities since 2015. Each meal consists of a dry uncooked mixture of rice, dal, dehydrated vegetables, and a vitamin sachet with 23 micronutrients and minerals.

Approximately 60 to 70 per cent of meals go to education or youth development programmes, with the remainder going to disaster relief, shelter for the elderly, orphanages, and homes for the destitute, among other things. The goal of this collaboration is to capitalise on both organisations’ competitive advantages and to amplify both partners’ hunger-eradication efforts.
