DBS Bank India Ltd has appointed Prem P Ranjan as its Executive Director and Chief Compliance Officer, reinforcing its focus on strengthening compliance frameworks, regulatory adherence, and governance standards.
In his new role, Prem P Ranjan will be responsible for leading the bank’s compliance function, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory requirements while enhancing governance practices. His appointment comes at a time when financial institutions are placing increased emphasis on robust compliance systems to navigate complex regulatory landscapes and support sustainable growth.
Ranjan brings extensive experience in the banking sector, with deep expertise in regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and governance. Prior to joining DBS Bank India, he was associated with HDFC Bank as Senior Vice President – Compliance, where he played a key role in managing regulatory processes and strengthening internal compliance mechanisms.
He has also worked with State Bank of India as Chief Manager – Compliance (Foreign Subsidiaries), where he handled cross-border compliance operations and regulatory oversight. His experience across leading financial institutions equips him with a strong understanding of both domestic and international regulatory environments.
