The German lender Deutsche Bank has appointed Dilipkumar Khandelwal as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). At Deutsche Bank, he would oversee the development of the lender’s technology verticals globally.
Prior to this, Dilipkumar Khandelwal was associated with SAP Labs India as its managing director.
As a part of his new appointment, he will also become the Head of Technology, Data and Innovation for the Asia Pacific and Chief Information Officer for Human Resources, Legal and Communications for the bank. He will be based in Pune.
Khandelwal, has been associated with SAP Labs for 18 years and built the SAP labs in Bengaluru, which has now become the second-largest unit of SAP. He also supervised the setting-up of SAP Startup Studio, the software maker’s accelerator programme to incubate startups.
Further, Khandelwal is an active angel investor. He has made investments in start-ups such as Whatfix, Loadshare, Signzy, Moglix and Fablestreet. He is also a limited VC partner in Fireside Ventures, and Stellaris Venture Partners.
