Flipkart, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance join hands to offer digital motor insurance

Walmart owned E-commerce firm Flipkart has joined hands with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company (BAGIC) in a bid to offer motor insurance for customers on the digital platform.Flipkart

Private insurer Bajaj Allianz which already offers motor insurance for privately owned two and four-wheeler vehicles will now offer the service to Flipkart users who opt for it through the mobile app.

Tapan Singhel, MD & CEO, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance said, “In addition to the mobile insurance that we offer on Flipkart, we are happy to take our partnership forward with them by offering motor insurance as well on their platform.”

Singhel adds, “This will not only help us increase our distribution base on this new-age platform, but will also enable us to offer best in class services to the customers of Flipkart by providing them pertinent solutions.”

As a part of this alliance, four wheeler vehicle owners, the Motor OTS facility will enable customers to inspect their vehicle themselves in order to check for damages. The insurance cover will also be protecting cars from depreciation costs. In addition, 24×7 roadside assistance will also be provided to policyholders who can claim their amount easily through cashless settlements.

For two-wheelers, Assistance will be provided swiftly through SMS, phone calls, or via digital platform by utilizing apps like WhatsApp or chatting with a bot.
