Former SBI Chief Arundhati Bhattacharya joins ChrysCapital as advisor

India’s largest private equity firm ChrysCap has appointed former State Bank of India (SBI) Chairperson Arundhati Bhattacharya as an advisor.

Arundhati BhattacharyaBhattacharya will be advising the firm on strategy and investments. She will be working with ChrysCapital managing partner Kunal Shroff and other partners.

ChrysCapital was established in 1999 and it manages approximately $3 billion worth assets across seven funds – raised from sovereign wealth funds, endowments, pension funds and fund of funds.

ChrysCapital offers a wide range of financial services space in India such as investments in Non-Banking Financial Companies(NBFCs) such as Magma Fincorp Ltd, Hero FinCorp Ltd, and AU Small Finance Bank, and Varthana and other firms such as South Indian Bank and NSE.

ChrysCap’s earlier investments include institutions such as Axis Bank, Centurion Bank of Punjab, City Union Bank, ING Vysya Bank, Federal Bank, Karur Vysya Bank and Yes Bank.
