Arijit Basu, Former Managing Director, State Bank of India has been inducted as Senior Consultant by AZB & Partners.
Arijit Basu recently retired as the Managing Director of State Bank of India. At SBI, he also served as a whole time director and was in charge of commercial and corporate banking, information technology and risk management.
From 2014 through 2018, Basu was also the Managing Director and CEO of SBI Life Insurance Company.
He holds more than 35 years of experience in the banking and finance industry and held several leadership positions include serving as Chairman of the working group on Project Finance, constituted by the Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on the 2020 National Infrastructure Pipeline; and (ii) a member of the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Committee of the CII.
