Galaxy Health Insurance Names G. Srinivasan as MD & CEO

Galaxy Health Insurance, formerly known as Galaxy Health & Allied Insurance Co Ltd, has named G. Srinivasan, a seasoned insurance industry veteran, as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO). The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has recently granted the company a licence to operate as a stand-alone health insurer.

Galaxy Health Insurance is promoted by the renowned TVS Group, led by Shri. Venu Srinivasan, in partnership with the family of Shri. V. Jagannathan, former CMD of United India Insurance Co. Ltd. and founder of Star Health & Allied Insurance Co. Ltd.

G. Srinivasan brings over four decades of experience in the insurance sector, having held prominent roles at United India Insurance Co. Ltd. and New India Assurance Co. Ltd., where he was instrumental in taking New India public. He has also served as a director on the board of GIC Re and as Chairman of the General Insurance Council. In addition, he was Director of the National Insurance Academy, Pune, contributing significantly to the insurance landscape in India.
