Manohar ParrikarManohar Parrikar, the Chief Minister of Goa and former Union Defence Minister passes away today at the age of 63 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

In February 2018, Goa Chief Minister was diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer and had been undergoing treatment for the same since then.

Parrikar had been dedicatedly continuing all his official commitments as the CM of Goa despite suffering from ill health, showcasing an example of extraordinary courage and integrity.

He served as the Chief Minister of Goa since March 14, 2017. A graduate from IIT Mumbai, his contributions pertain to the modernisation and development of defence forces is marked as unparalleled.

He inaugurated the 8th Elets Knowledge Exchange Summit in 2017.
