The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued new advisory amid the recent outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The MIB advisory will encircle international flights, requesting the citizen to stay at home, and asking the private sector to work from home.
Govt advisory
No scheduled international commercial passenger aircraft shall be permitted to land in India from March 22, 2020, for one week.
State Governments must take appropriate measures so that all citizens above 65 (other than for medical assistance) except for public representatives/govt. servants/medical professionals are advised to remain at home.
All children below 10 years of age should be advised to stay at home and not to venture out.
Railways and civil aviation shall postpone all concessional travel except for students, patients, and divyang category.
States are directed to enforce work for home for private-sector employees except those working in emergency/essential services.
To bring down crowding all Group B and C Central govt. employees will be directed to attend offices on the alternate weeks and staggered timings for all employees.
