HCL Technologies sets up special unit for Google Cloud

HCL Technologies has set up a new dedicated business unit for Google Cloud with a workforce of more than 1,300 professionals. The tech giant initiated this step to help its clients in migrating their applications to Google’s cloud network.

The team is likely to broaden and over 5,000 people will be hired in the next few months.

Media reports suggest that this is going to be the largest team set-up by any IT service provider firm for Google Cloud.

HCL will be setting up three Google Cloud-specific labs, one each in Dallas, London and Noida.

It will work on pilots for clients and enable their shift to Google’s cloud platform.

Google and HCL Technologies will jointly market the solutions to clients, with the support of Google’s senior architects and development team assisting HCL in adopting its cloud platform.
