HDFC Life has appointed Chief Financial Officer Vibha Padalkar as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer.
Padalkar’s name was on amongst the front-runner for the position after the exit of Amitabh Chaudhary, who now joined Axis Bank, Padalkar.
Prior to joining HDFC Life, Padalkar was associated with brands namely WNS Global Services, Colgate-Palmolive (India ) and Pricewaterhousecoopers. She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
She also played a key role in the proposed merger of Max Life Insurance Company, which was later called off. HDFC Life has a market cap of Rs 90,704.54 crore and the most valued life insurance company in the country.
