Hitachi Payment Services deploys 10,000 White Label ATMs to enhance financial inclusion across India

Hitachi Payment Services

Hitachi Payment Services has announced the successful deployment of 10,000 White Label ATMs (WLAs) under the Hitachi Money Spot ATM brand name.

These WLAs, strategically positioned in semi-urban and rural areas, aim to bridge the gap in banking accessibility, providing citizens with convenient banking services. Hitachi Payment Services embarked on its journey as a White Label ATM Operator in 2013 when it was awarded the WLA license. Since then, the company has remained committed to its vision of financial inclusion, spearheading various initiatives to expand its WLA network.

Among its initiatives, Hitachi Payment Services introduced Cash Recycling Machines (CRMs) and facilitated Interoperable Cash Deposits (ICD), setting itself apart as the only WLA operator offering cash deposit facilities. Additionally, the company introduced the first-of-its-kind UPI ATM on the Android platform for card-less cash withdrawals, further driving financial inclusion in areas with limited banking infrastructure.

Hitachi Payment Services launched Hitachi Money Spot Plus by expanding its footprint in the financial inclusion domain, offering a range of services such as AEPS, Domestic Money Transfers, Bill Payments, Mobile & DTH recharges, and Micro ATM services. These initiatives are aimed at enhancing banking penetration and improving banking experiences for customers.
