HSBC Technology has appointed Pradeep Menon as the new Managing Director and Global Head of Data Engineering segment. Prior to HSBC, Menon was associated with General Electric as the Global Head and Vice President of Data Analytics for GE’s digital hubs.
Menon was earlier working with Maersk Group as the Global Analytics Leader and was also associated with Dell in various data leadership positions.
At HSBC, Menon’s new role would include working in alignment with multiple teams on a global scale in addition to the one in India. He will be responsible for the data engineering function and lead the data services teams based in India. Besides, Menon will be working with B. Ganesh, Head of HSBC Technology India and Rakshit Kapoor, Group CDO for HSBC.
Furthermore, he will be focusing on elevating the scalability of HSBC’s data platforms as a part of the larger goal to administer, shield and value the risks involved in hosting large amounts of data on cloud platforms. He role would include imbibing agility into the DevOps operations in a bid to meet the banking demands of the modern day consumer.
