IIFL Home Loans strengthens leadership with Ajay Sachdewa and Aarti Marwaha Upadhyay

Ajay Sachdewa has been appointed as the Group Chief Business Officer (CBO) at IIFL Home Loans, bringing with him over two decades of rich leadership experience in housing finance, banking, and financial services. Sachdewa, who most recently served as Head of Distribution and Transformation for Home Loans at Axis Bank, is tasked with driving business strategy, expanding distribution channels, enhancing sales productivity, and deepening customer engagement at IIFL Home Loans. His extensive background includes significant leadership roles at Axis Bank, HDFC Ltd, and HDFC Sales, making him well-equipped to lead growth initiatives aligned with IIFL’s mission of affordable housing finance.

Alongside Sachdewa’s appointment, IIFL Home Finance has also named Aarti Marwaha Upadhyay as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Upadhyay brings nearly 20 years of HR leadership experience across diverse sectors such as retail, NBFCs, telecom, and energy. She has previously held senior roles at organisations like Devyani International, Walmart, Lenskart, and Religare Enterprises. At IIFL Home Finance, she will be responsible for talent management, leadership development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and spearheading cultural transformation initiatives.

IIFL Home Finance is strategically deepening its leadership bench with these appointments to foster business execution and strengthen customer engagement while building a future-ready workforce. The firm recently reported a 14% year-on-year growth in its home loan portfolio, from Rs 28,089 crore to Rs 32,017 crore as of June 2025, underscoring its commitment to scaling operations responsibly while enhancing product and distribution innovation.
