ItzCash has partnered with non life insurance provider HDFC ERGO to offer general insurance products through its physical retail outlets.
It is expected that the association will further strengthen the ItzCash’s position in Financial Exchange market. Ebix, the world’s largest insurance exchange company, is the parent organisation of Mumbai based digital payments and financial exchange company – ItzCash.
A wide range of general insurance policies including health, motor, fire and auto, will be offered under the partnership for meeting the insurance needs of the public. All these products will be easily available and accessible to customers through ItzCash’s extensive distribution network across the country.
Under the partnership, ItzCash’s online network will be used for all the processes from filling the application form to making the payment to eradicate the possibilities of human error and other delays. It will offer the customer service on a real-time basis and also provide them the convenience to pay premium at the nearest ItzCash outlet.
The MoU will also help the insurance provider to grow its business through the retail presence of payments company’s 75,000 franchisees branded as “ItzCash World” across more than 3000 locations.
“Their proven business operations allow us to collaborate and expand our reach by offering health, home and fire insurance to a wider audience across the country through the company’s digital platform. We see immense opportunity in this association and firmly believe that ItzCash clients will gain a great deal from the bouquet of our products,” HDFC ERGO General Insurance Executive Director Anuj Tyagi said.
