Jana Small Finance Bank, India’s biggest small finance bank, has reached a critical milestone by opening 751 branches in 185 locations across the country and expanding its affordable housing business. This action attempts to meet the country’s growing demand for cheap housing solutions.
Jana Small Finance Bank now has 751 branches distributed throughout 24 states and union territories. The bank has focused extending its footprint in underserved rural communities, with 272 branches in these areas accounting for 36% of total branch count. Furthermore, 396 of the bank’s branches, or 53% of the total number of branches, offer home loans.
Jana Small Finance Bank has also pioneered digital banking solutions by establishing three Digital Banking Units (DBUs), which are entirely digital branches. One of these branches, in Bihta, is exclusively for women. These DBUs have assisted the bank in providing its customers with new and simple banking alternatives.
