Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad has resigned from Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, just an hour before the major Cabinet reshuffle.
He was designated as the Law & Justice, Communications, Electronics & Information Technology Ministry.
Apart from this, Prakash Javadekar has also resigned from his position. He held the portfolio of Environment, Forest & Climate Change; Information & Broadcasting; & Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises.
Earlier in the day, Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had also announced their resignations.
