KVS Manian has officially taken charge as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Federal Bank, succeeding Shyam Srinivasan, who stepped down after an impressive 14-year tenure. Manian’s transition to leadership comes following Srinivasan’s term, which concluded on September 22, 2024.
Previously, Manian served as the Joint Managing Director at Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited until April 30, 2024. During his time there, he was crucial in establishing a strong and profitable franchise across various business segments, significantly enhancing the bank’s technological capabilities and transaction banking services.
Manian’s extensive experience includes a background in the NBFC sector, formerly Kotak Mahindra Finance Ltd, and investment banking. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU)—Varanasi and a Postgraduate degree in Financial Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. Additionally, he is a qualified Cost and Works Accountant.
