Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation has partnered with HDFC Bank for enabling complete banking solutions to its customers.
As per the latest developments, the commuters will soon be able to recharge their GoSmart Metro cards just by feeding the Aadhaar number at the station kiosk.
The service will be available from next year and the amount will be directly deducted from the users bank account after punching the card details.
“We are working on a technology where a person can either pay through Aadhaar or through Unified Payment Interface pin. Meanwhile, we are trying to begin a service where a person can directly recharge the GoSmart card by paying cash at a machine (without involving Metro officials),” said Sanjeev Kumar, Head ,Uttar Pradesh , HDFC Bank.
