Fincare Small Finance Bank has appointed former Meru CEO Nilesh Sangoi as its new Chief Digital Officer and Head of Data Analytics division.
Prior to this, Sangoi was associated with cab aggregator Meru as its Chief Executive Officer from January 2017. He was promoted to the position from that of the founding Chief Technology Officer after his predecessor Siddhartha Pahwa left the company.
Sangoi joined Meru Cabs in September 2017. He was earlier associated with Star India Pvt. Ltd.
The change in executive position comes directly after Mahindra and Mahindra acquired 36.63 percent stake in Meru Travel Solutions as part of the agreement to acquire 55 percent of stake in December 2019.
The investment is the first instalment of as part of its Rs 201.5 Crore agreement to acquire 55 percent shareholding in the radio taxi operator, making it a part of its homegrown utility vehicles leader. The investment also gave M&M the authority to bring a majority of the directors on the Meru board.
