Nilesh Shivji Vikamsey has been appointed part-time Chairman of Federal Bank for two years.
The bank informed BSE that RBI has accorded its approval to his appointment.
Vikamsey will assume office on June 20. He succeeded Abraham Koshy, who retired from the board on completion of his term of eight years.
Vikamsey had joined the Board of Directors of the Bank in June 2011 as an independent director.
“At Federal Bank, he was instrumental in ushering in professionalism and good governance in various areas more particularly to the inspection, audit, accountancy and credit practices,” Federal Bank said in a statement.
