In a bid to encourage the growth of Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem, Niti Aayog has joined hands with Google, says Amitabh Kant, chief executive officer, Niti Aayog.
As per the program, search engine giant Google will train Indian AI start-ups. This initiative was taken to boost the level of AI and Machine Learning in India. These start-ups will be trained and evaluated by Google to efficiently leverage AI in their respective business models.
“Niti’s partnership with Google will unlock massive training initiatives, support start-ups and encourage AI research through PhD scholarships, all of which contributes to the larger idea of a technologically-empowered New India,” said Amitabh Kant, chief executive officer, Niti Aayog.
During annual budget 2017-18, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley mention about starting a national program for developing trending technologies such as AI.
