At a Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) meeting held on June 7 2021, North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) Limited has selected Baidyanath Maharana for the post of Director Finance. Currently, he is serving as Chief General Manager (Finance) NEEPCO Ltd.
NEEPCO has been generating power in the North Eastern region of India and since 1976, working closely with the Ministry of Power and the north eastern states. It is wholly owned subsidiary of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC Ltd).
On 21 November 2019, the Government of India approved the takeover of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) by NTPC Limited.
