State Bank of India’s former global Chief Technology Officer Shiv Kumar Bhasin has joined National Stock Exchange of India Ltd. (NSE) as its new Chief Technology & Operations Officer.
He will be reporting directly to Vikram Limaye, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NSE.
SBI’s former CTO Bhasin had played a significant role in ensuring the digital transformation of the bank. He helped in leveraging emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), RPA and Artificial Intelligence.
He was also instrumental in the unveiling of SBI YONO, an application that offers a one-stop platform for multiple utilities such as banking, lifestyle, insurance, investment, and shopping requirements of customers.
SBI YONO was launched across India keeping the rapidly changing needs of the customers and to offer next-generation banking services.
Under his leadership, Asia’s largest lender reported a good response to YONO. The application already has over 10 million customers on board YONO.
He holds an M.Tech from IIT, Delhi. He is a part of the advisory board for Gartner, Oracle and Experian Data Quality.
