Payments brand Square has named Amrita Ahuja as its chief financial officer. Ahuja has been appointed after the exit Sarah Friar who quit the firm in October last year for joining Nextdoor as its CEO. She will be joining Square later in January and report to CEO Jack Dorsey.
She is currently associated with Blizzard Entertainment as it CFO. It is a division of Activision Blizzard that designs and publishes interactive software products and entertainment content.
She has been associated with the company for more than eight years handling several finance and strategy roles.
She was earlier working with Fox Networks Group, the Walt Disney Company, and Morgan Stanley.
“In Amrita, we have found an amazing, multidimensional business leader. Amrita brings the ability to consider and balance opportunities across our entire business, and she will help strengthen our discipline as we invest, build, and scale” said Dorsey who is also the co-founder and CEO of Twitter.
