PaySprint Launches SprintSign, an Aadhaar-Based Digital Signing Platform for Banks and NBFCs

Fintech infrastructure firm PaySprint has launched SprintSign, an Aadhaar-based eSign platform offering six signing methods, including OTP, biometric, iris and face match, with sequential, parallel and bulk workflows to cut document execution for banks, NBFCs and enterprises from days to minutes.

New Delhi-based fintech infrastructure provider PaySprint has launched SprintSign, an Aadhaar-based digital signing platform aimed at banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs) and large enterprises that still lose days to printing, couriering and chasing signatures on loan agreements, onboarding forms and contracts.

The company says the platform can bring document execution down from the typical three to seven days to a matter of minutes, and estimates turnaround gains of up to 90 per cent over paper-based processes.

How SprintSign works

A business uploads a PDF, adds one or more signatories, places signature fields where they are needed and sends the document. Each signer receives a secure link, verifies their identity and signs, after which the executed document is stored and available for use. PaySprint says setup takes minutes and requires no technical expertise.

Documents can be routed in three ways:

  • Sequential signing, where the document moves from one signer to the next in a fixed order;
  • Parallel signing, where all signers receive it at the same time; and
  • Bulk signing, where the same document goes out to hundreds of signers in one go.

Signers are notified and reminded over email, WhatsApp and SMS, while the sender gets live status tracking for every signatory and an end-to-end audit trail.

Six ways to sign

SprintSign offers six signing methods within a single workflow. Four are Aadhaar-based:

  • OTP eSign, using a one-time password sent to the signer’s Aadhaar-linked mobile number, suited to remote, high-volume onboarding;
  • Biometric eSign, verifying a fingerprint against Aadhaar records for branch and field settings;
  • Iris eSign, for high-security documents or cases where fingerprints are unreliable; and
  • Face Match eSign, a selfie-style scan on a smartphone camera matched against the Aadhaar photograph, with no extra hardware.

These sit alongside a simple electronic signature option for low-risk internal paperwork and Digital Signature Certificate (DSC)-based signing for statutory filings, tenders and board documents where a certificate is mandated.

PaySprint lists customer onboarding, loan agreements, contracts, consent forms and statutory filings as key use cases. Aadhaar eSign is legally recognised under the Information Technology Act, 2000, subject to applicable requirements.

Built for lenders’ turnaround times

“Every signature collected the old way costs a business time, money and sometimes the deal itself,” said S. Anand, Founder and CEO, PaySprint. He added that for a bank or NBFC, the difference is “a sanction letter executed today and one still sitting in a courier bag on Friday”, and that SprintSign puts a verified identity behind every signature.

The launch comes as digital signing gains scale in India. According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s annual report for 2024-25, more than 87 crore eSigns had been issued across empanelled service providers, while UIDAI reported that cumulative Aadhaar face-authentication transactions crossed 200 crore in August 2025.

About PaySprint

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in New Delhi, PaySprint provides banking and fintech infrastructure through APIs. The company says it serves more than 5,100 partners through over 200 API solutions. SprintSign is available through the company’s website.

For lenders racing to shorten loan-to-disbursal cycles, the execution of documents has often been the last offline step in an otherwise digital journey. Platforms such as SprintSign aim to close that gap while keeping signatures tied to verified identities.
