Paytm

PaytmIndia’s leading digital payments brand Paytm is planning to introduce facial recognition feature to make it easier for customers to unlock applications of their smartphone.

This will streamline the payments process and make it way easier for the customers.

According to the industry reports, the Noida-based company is already working on the facial recognition tool among internal employees using Google’s Android platform which will help the customers in making payments to the merchants just in the blink of an eye, added the report.

This feature will tighten the security level of the app and the entire payments process will be way convenient and swift. However, despite the introduction of facial recognition feature, offline payments would take longer.

Over 9.5 million merchants are using Paytm services and the company has already identified devices for installation at a few merchant locations for facial authentication.
