Worldline [Euronext: WLN] has announced the appointment of Pierre-Antoine Vacheron as its Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1, 2025. He succeeds Marc-Henri Desportes, who has served as interim CEO since October 2024.
Pierre-Antoine brings over 30 years of international experience in payments, retail, and banking. Previously, he was CEO of Payments at Group BPCE and CEO of Natixis Payments, where he spearheaded product innovation, technology simplification, and enhanced customer service. He also played a key role in transforming Ingenico Group’s Global Merchant Services and Acquiring division, shifting it from a hardware-oriented model to a leading payment services provider.
The Worldline Board of Directors believes Pierre-Antoine’s fresh perspective will drive performance transformation, client experience enhancement, and cultural evolution within the company. Chairman Wilfried Verstraete praised his strategic vision, industry expertise, and ability to deliver results in complex global environments, expressing confidence in his leadership to strengthen Worldline’s position as a payments technology leader.
Acknowledging the contributions of Marc-Henri Desportes, the Board extended gratitude for his steadfast leadership and his role in ensuring a seamless transition.
