Usha Ananthasubramanian has been given the charge as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Punjab National Bank (PNB) on August 14, 2015. The position was lying vacant since October 28, 2014.
Usha has been appointed for a period of three years from the date of taking over charge of the post or till the date of superannuation, i.e. Sptember 30, 2018 or until further orders. She has been appointed in the wake of erstwhile Chairman and MD K R Kamath completing his tenure of five years and unable to get the extension for another 13 months.
Till now, Gauri Shankar was holding the additional charge as the bank’s MD and CEO since Feb 11, 2015.
