During her ongoing visit to India, Her Majesty, the Queen of the Belguim visited the head office of Fusion Microfinance in New Delhi.
While making her visit, Queen Mathilde of Belgium showed a keen interest in having an overview of the work done by Fusion Microfinance and its impact on the lives of its clients. She interacted with some of the esteemed clients of the brand to understand their socio-economic background and impression of the intervention made by Fusion in their lives.
The visit helped the Queen to understand the level of economic independence ensured to the clients due to efforts made by Fusion.
Queen Mathilde of Belgium is on a seven-day state visit to India from 5th – 11th November 2017 on an invitation of Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India.
“It is an honour for Fusion to host her Majesty, the Queen. This visit endorses the work done by Fusion in the field of financial inclusion, woman empowerment and entrepreneurship. It further reinforces our resolve to continue working to create opportunities at the bottom of the pyramid,” said Devesh Sachdev, CEO and Founder of Fusion Microfinance.
The visit also graced participation from business delegation comprising namely Max Jadot, CEO and Chairman, Executive Board of BNP Paribas Fortis, Joris Dierckx, CEO and Country Head of BNP Paribas India, Linde Verheyden, Director Public Affairs at BNP Paribas Fortis and Loïc De Cannière, CEO, Incofin.
