Razorpay promotes Rahul Kothari to Chief Operating Officer

Razorpay, India’s leading omnichannel payments and banking platform for businesses, named Rahul Kothari as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for India and Malaysia. This promotion coincides with Razorpay’s announcement that it is starting to expand internationally, primarily in the SEA area. This calls for a more comprehensive integrated strategy aimed at enhancing customer experiences and generating higher revenue outcomes across Razorpay’s diverse business and product lines.

At Razorpay, the COO plays a pivotal role in advancing the company’s client-centric orientation by delivering a more seamless and integrated customer experience to diverse customer segments and enterprises. In order to generate consistent and exponential revenue growth across all companies and revenue lines in India and Malaysia, the role also requires directing the company’s business strategies.

Rahul will be focusing on finding fresh ways to improve the customer experience as well as increasing the effectiveness and coherence of the internal systems, procedures, and organisational structures in this new post. Rahul’s strength is his ability to establish a highly inclusive work culture where team members may develop, build, and thrive, ultimately increasing employee productivity. He also has the capacity to approach business creatively. Furthermore, he will spearhead efforts to fortify alliances with outside parties, positioning Razorpay as a leader in innovation within the ever-expanding ecosystem.

Rahul Kothari served Razorpay as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) prior to being appointed as the COO. In this role, he was in charge of formulating and carrying out business development initiatives while making sure they aligned with the organization’s overarching goals. In his capacity as CBO, he played a key role in guiding other business executives at Razorpay to collaborate on long-term business objectives and find solutions for disparate organisational priorities. He has been a major factor in Razorpay’s success thanks to his commitment to encouraging innovation, establishing the business’s first international payment gateway in Malaysia, improving operational effectiveness, and fortifying important partnerships.
